Trelligence

Trelligence software is focused on enhancing the design process through real-time design+analysis tools for architectural programming, space planning and early conceptual and schematic design.

Targeted at the worldwide architectural, engineering, construction and owner/developer (AECO) market, the Trelligence Affinity™ patent-pending software integrates with Autodesk Revit, Google SketchUp and other design tools to extend the benefits of Building Information Modeling (BIM) – faster planning, less rework and better team communication – to the early design phases of complex building projects.

Affinity focuses on architectural programming and schematic design giving the entire AECO team a platform for communicating the requirements for a building project. The product provides firms with a way to evaluate requirements, deliver estimates and make critical design decisions early – before key resource, budget and time commitments are made.

Affinity supports four key phases in the early design process: the capture of project program data, 2d/3d visualization in schematic design, bi-directional integration with Revit and analysis of the design as it moves through the detailed design phase.

Because architectural design analysis has historically been performed as a separate manual step late in the design process, unanticipated problems frequently occur downstream, contributing to the industry average of 30% rework on every project. For complex projects such as a hospitals, power plants, secure facilities, etc., there could be tens of thousands of constraints affecting the design, including everything from building requirements (codes), customer specifications (program requirements), to process knowledge (internal expertise). The Trelligence integrated design environment enables critical design decisions to be made much earlier in the design cycle, thus avoiding many of these problems. And Affinity’s patent-pending knowledge template model enables a single software platform to be easily configured to fit a wide range of projects and processes.
