As a Senior Consultant at Microdesk, Don specializes in assisting design organizations with implementing Building Information Modeling processes. This includes on-site assessment for streamlining BIM integration. He also develops custom optimization solutions, as well as leading firms through the process of creating standards and workflows based on BIM technology.
Prior to working at Microdesk, Don served as an engineer/project manager with Lincolne Scott, Inc., in Honolulu, HI. In this role, he assisted with numerous new construction, renovation and sustainable services projects, most notably 280 Beachwalk, Waikiki’s first LEED Certified retail complex. He was also instrumental in the rollout, execution, and implementation of Revit MEP.
Don has conducted energy analysis, designed and obtained LEED certification for new projects, and streamlined production standards all during his tenure with Lincolne Scott. He has also executed inter-office BIM platform implementation and leveraged BIM usage to create new business opportunities.
His collaboration with the management team and marketing departments has reinforced company branding and mission statements past and current. Don has also been published with the Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE) Industrial Engineering Magazine.
