With over 12 years experience, Randy’s primary focus at Microdesk is to help design firms implement Revit Architecture. In 2003, Randy joined Microdesk as a Technical Specialist providing technical support, training, product evaluations, recommendations, on-site services, and standards development for Architectural Desktop, AutoCAD, as well as Revit Architecture. Randy regularly presents at Revit user group meetings throughout New England and works very closely with Autodesk to help fine tune the development of Revit. Randy is also knowledgeable with Green Building Studio, Ecotect and Navisworks.

Prior to joining Microdesk, Randy worked as an Applications Engineer for Revit Technologies and later for Autodesk after it acquired Revit Technologies in 2002. While at Revit Technologies and Autodesk, he was responsible for conducting client presentations, providing support, training, and working with Revit’s development team to extend and improve the product.

Randy also has experience working for a mid-sized architectural firm. There he worked on designs for public safety buildings; major drug store chains; commercial and residential space; handicapped-accessible housing; healthcare facilities; schools; multi-family and elderly housing. He conducted field surveys, collected site measurements, created existing conditions drawings, and plans for new construction and renovations.

Randy holds a degree in Architectural Building Engineering Technology from the New England Institute of Technology. He is a Revit Architecture Implementation Certified Expert, an Architectural Desktop 2006 Certified Expert, a Certified SketchUp Trainer and a Certified e-SPECS Trainer.
