Tim participates in the development of various large and small scale integrated CAD, engineering, and GIS applications, creating custom desktop as well as intranet and Internet-based systems.
He has over 8 years of experience working as a GIS applications engineer and manager for numerous public and private agencies. Prior to joining Microdesk, he developed pioneering applications to help non-GIS users collect and use vital information. Other responsibilities included teaching department personnel how to use GIS software, providing technical support to the department’s GIS users, and developing products to be compatible with the ArcSDE Geodatabase format. Tim developed:
a custom pavement management system
a city permitting system
a GIS-based tax map update system that used AutoCAD drawings
He has extensive experience with GIS and database application development using ArcObjects, VB, VBA, and Avenue. He also has experience with ESRI ArcIMS, ArcSDE, SQL Server 2000 and 2005 Express, ArcGIS 9.2 Server and Engine 9.2, Visual Studio, .NET, C++, HTML, and XML. Tim has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from University of Massachusetts at Lowell.
