Microdesk’s Award-Winning Canstruction Build

“Pikachu Takes a Bite Out of the Big Apple” wins People’s Choice and Honorable Mention at Canstruction 2021.

Microdesk was delighted to take part in this year’s Canstruction event in New York City, winning two awards for our Pokémon-inspired submission “Pikachu Takes a Bite Out of the Big Apple.” Made with 3,228 cans of tomato sauce, diced green chilies, baked beans and olives, this 7ft tall Pikachu will help feed 1,140 New Yorkers as part of this charitable event.

We would like to thank our Canstruction build team for their hard work and enthusiasm throughout hundreds of hours of design and construction time!
