Project Manager – Architecture, Scan to BIM + Reality Capture
Mallary is an experienced Project Manager at Microdesk, where she is a part of the Architecture and Scan to BIM teams, with an expertise in Historic Preservation. She manages all West Coast Architectural projects at Microdesk and her main thrill is leveraging technology and BIM data to streamline and automate workflows.
Her team provides Technology Ecosystem Evaluations + Recommendations, BIM Project Management, Technical Support, Software Training, Workforce Technology Implementation and Adoption Strategies, BIM Guideline and Template Development along with consulting services to Microdesk’s Architectural clients worldwide.
Since joining Microdesk, Mallary has worked with a wide variety of clients such as Walt Disney Imagineering, Richard Meier Architects, Soho House Design, Salesforce, Lowney Architecture, RIM Architects & KTGY among many others. She has guest lectured at University of Southern California’s School of Architecture on ‘Scan to BIM for Historic Buildings’, presented for AIA HRC (Historic Resources Committee) on the importance of digitally documenting existing buildings and was a panelist for the RICS (Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors) Summit of the Americas, discussing ‘ConTech, Standards and the Power of Productivity’.
Before Microdesk, she worked for GB Geotechnics USA Inc., an international forensic engineering company where she gained expertise in Measured Building Survey and Scan to BIM: a process of delivering 2D drawings and 3D models in a conventional as-built deliverable by utilizing AutoCAD, BIM (Building Information Modeling), Laser Scanning and GPR (Ground Penetrating Radar) to further define the as-built conditions. Prior to her work with GBG, she worked in New York City for H3 Hardy Collaboration Architecture, most notably on the landmark project, Pier A, at the tip of Manhattan documenting and restoring with BIM.
Mallary holds a BArch (Bachelor of Architecture) degree from Mississippi State University College of Architecture, Art + Design and she is also a Certified Autodesk Revit Architecture Professional.
