Project Description
Building a more sustainable America with BIM
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is the federal design and construction management organization charged with building and maintaining Americaïs infrastructure and providing military facilities where our service members train, work and live. In keeping with their mission to deliver innovative and sustainable solutions to the nationïs engineering challenges, the Corps desired to introduce Building Information Modeling into their workflow to reduce costs and streamline project schedules.
Microdesk assisted the U.S. Army Corps by reviewing and revising their existing BIM Standards and developing necessary project templates to improve the standardization of processes. Microdesk also executed a training program on Revit–based applications and Navisworks and provided onsite project mentoring to ensure the success of initial BIM pilot projects.
