Area Business Leaders to meet and discuss the future of Building Lifecycle and BIM

 

 

Boston, M.A. September 10th, 2018 –  Local architecture, engineering, construction, and manufacturing business leaders will meet on Thursday, October 11th, for BuildingSuccess, an organization that brings together industry executives and business managers for an evening reception and open forum discussion.

The event provides a place to discuss the latest challenges affecting the industry, strategies to overcome them, share experiences and consider the future. The October program will be held in Boston at the Liberty Hotel and will feature a panel discussion on how Architects, Engineers, Construction Firms and Owners benefit from the impact manufacturers have when they are involved in the BIM process/building lifecycle.

This panel includes business leaders with varied industry experience; John McFarland, VP of Contractor Strategies at Hubbell Wiring System brings over 23 years of experience that has focused on providing reliable electrical solutions to clients. Luke Voiland, Principal at Shepley Bulfinch brings over 10 years of Architectural experience. Voiland understands there is an extraordinary responsibility placed upon architects to design more meaningful and sustainable ways for people to live and work together. Siggy Pfendler is the Director of Virtual Construction at Columbia Construction Company and brings over 11 years of Construction industry experience to the panel. Throughout her career, Pfendler has continued to look for new tools to enhance the BIM department at Columbia Construction understanding that the role of technology is continuously maturing across the industry and we must adapt. Dariusz Raczkowski, Director of Engineering at Tufts University brings over 10 years of experience with Construction and Infrastructure.

The panel will be moderated by Michael DeLacey, Principal at Microdesk. DeLacey has over 25 years of experience in integrating technology into the planning, design, construction and operations and maintenance process.

BuildingSuccess was initiated in 2008 and has since grown into a regular quarterly gathering of industry leaders in cities throughout the nation, including Philadelphia, New York, Washington, DC, Boston, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Fresno, CA.
