Part 1 of BIM for Sustainability Webinar Series
September 22 marks the fall equinox, and the beginning of cold winter weather, so what better time to discuss how BIM for sustainability will help your team make informed energy usage design decisions. We will kick off our series with the early conceptual phase and will progress through the lifecycle of a sustainable lifecycle of a project over the series. We will be using all the tools built-in with Autodesk Insight, cover all the capabilities, and discuss how they can be applied to help inform your design team decisions.
In this webinar, we will:
- Benchmark the building energy use intensity (EUI) and learn how we can leverage that data to make informed early design decisions.
- This will include massing and siting of the building.
- Conduct a solar and shading study in concert with a wind study to optimize site conditions to maximize the use and reduce costs to the owner.
- Wrap up with future outlooks and what is in the pipeline including what generative design impact for these analyses are and how they are being developed by the Microdesk Sustainability R&D team!
